    Duties and responsibilities: vary depending on departmental needs. Duties may include but are not limited to miscellaneous service and minor repairs in a variety of trades areas such as carpentry, electrical, painting, plumbing, heating and air conditioning and grounds. Work is routine and manual, such as cleaning and lubricating equipment, replacing and cleaning filters, painting, moving furniture, mowing, weed eating and snow removal.

    Emergency Hire opportunities are limited to 130 calendar days of employment.

    Required qualifications: may vary based on assignment. Candidates with the appropriate combination of experience and skills will be considered. Knowledge of trades and grounds maintenance; basic skills in techniques, tools, materials and equipment; must be able to use hand and power tools to perform manual labor; must be able to complete assignments in a timely manner; strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to interact comfortably and respectfully with all individuals in a diverse multicultural environment.
