What do you believe the culture of Virginia Tech to be?

Anonymous asked a question to Dreama P.

I am curious to know perspectives on leadership and the executive team. A company is only as strong as those who lead it, so i wanted to see if there was any transparency around that.

Across the marketing and communications landscape - with teams in the central office along with teams in the colleges and units - the culture probably varies in each area, often influenced by leadership and the teams themselves in those areas. In my role, I think a lot about working toward a collaborative, cheerful culture, such as in our monthly meetings of all marcomms professionals and in our new mentoring program, where we've paired mentors and mentees across the organization. On a personal level, too, I try to bring a positive outlook and add to the culture in that way.

Communication/transparency is always improving but also may never be considered perfect. The main thing to remember is employees have a part as employees also.   Always ask questions!
