Eric G. Director Organizational DevelopmentThe most rewarding part of my job is the people. In my role as Director of Organizational Development, I have the opportunity to engage with a wide range of individuals, from students to colleagues to patrons. That variety ensures my days are never dull and constantly remind me why the work matters. On any given day, I might ensure the food cabinet at Newman is stocked and think strategically about how we can secure additional resources to support students and patrons. Later, I may facilitate a community circle to help employees connect more deeply with one another and strengthen engagement. Then I could shift into a senior leadership meeting to review our strategic plan and clarify priorities for the next five years. Moving between these spaces can be mentally demanding, but that stretch is also what makes the role meaningful. The challenge keeps me growing, and the impact across so many levels of the organization makes it deeply rewarding.
