Brandi W. Human Resources Manager
I got interested in human resources when I was still in high school. I was working in retail as a supervisor and was brought in to do some interviewing and was responsible for training new hires. I loved that aspect of my job and knew that's the type of career I wanted. During my undergrad I was lucky enough to obtain a part-time wage position on campus as an HR Assistant. That position gave me experience with campus systems, policies and procedures. After graduating I was hired into a salaried position within the central HR Department.
Each of my positions on campus has provided me the knowledge and tools that I have need to grow my career here at Virginia Tech. I have been thankful for all of the areas in which I have worked in and my supervisors for supporting my career growth.
