    Yes!

I remember within my first 2 months, my daughter was sick and had to go to the ER. I did not want to call out but we didn't get home until like 3am. I called and was reassured that it was ok. The next day when I went back to work, my director asked "how is your daughter?" Due to previous companies, that was a shock-I was expecting more of a "it was so hard for your other coworkers" or something like that!

We get tons of leave time, including volunteer time, which can be used for field trips, concessions, etc. I have been with Tech for 4.5 years and I have almost 7 weeks of vacation and that is not including sick or volunteer time! My supervisors very much promote work-life balance. I was able to attend everyone of my sons football games-on Friday nights-even if they were 2 hours away!

I have not had a job before that supported me so much. I am able to put my wellbeing and family first.

For me, balance feels like I have to give up one thing in order to focus on another. I prefer to think of it as work-life integration. Because extension agent life often runs into the evenings and weekends, I prioritize where I need to be and what needs to be addressed.
